GOOD MORNING HOPPERS!!!!!!! Welcome to my blog. Since I created this blog -- let's say 2 years ago, I have had plans to update and enhance it - I still have those plans, and many, many others!
I enjoy trying new methods and techniques, and decided to try a shaker card for the hop. Prior to making it, I gave methodology a great deal of thought. I watched tutorial videos, and picked the simplest one to make my favorite! After the 1st die cut I realized my mistake and I was off and running. I know where my 2nd mistake was, but the card was together, and hopefully nobody looking at it online can tell! But I know! (Those little blue hearts would stick to "my mistake" if I shook it!)
Here is my red, white and blue "I Love You" shaker card, with blue sequin hearts in the shaker.
I hope you enjoyed your visit to my blog. To head back to the main blog hop page, you this link: http://wp.me/p2kUr6-4o6
What an awesome shaker card! I just want to shake it now! Miss you sweetie!
ReplyDeleteVery very cute shaker card!!
ReplyDeleteThis is an awesome card.
ReplyDeleteI could see right away it was a shaker box. I haven't made one for so long. You need to make some more. They would be a big hit for the troops.
ReplyDeleteI've only made 1 shaker card. I difinately want to CASE this one! I love the CAS feel but with that pizazz of the shaker. I would love for you to check out my blog. I'm offering blog candy for followers. http://alllthingsbeautiful.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteOoh I love this! I still have not tried to make one of these yet. The opposing polka dot papers are great! -Kristal
ReplyDeleteI cannot make shaker cards (they always leak), and YAY for posting your "mistakes" anyway. Isn't crafting FUN?!?!?!

Very cute! I saw a tutorial on shaker cards that said you should glue a few sequins (or whatever your shake items are) on the background anyway so they are not all settled at the bottom. So your mistake isn't a mistake after all, if you do shake it. This is one of those cards that you should make multiples of.
ReplyDeleteRonni, what an amazing card. Love the heart and that it is a shaker card. Beautiful color choices as I love polka dots. Great job.
ReplyDeleteLove your shaker heart on this adorable card!
ReplyDeleteHi Ronni.. what a fun shaker card.. love it! ~ Pam
ReplyDelete**the gold paper I used for the star on my card is actually poster board that I purchased from Hobby Lobby for around $1.80 a sheet. It's poster board size. It punches beautifully.
Gotta love a cute shaker card and this one is just too adorable!
ReplyDeleteLOVE this shaker. This is certainly going to make some recipient very happy.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE shaker cards and what a great way to use the sequins that are so popular right now. The hearts and white dots are the perfect little accents.

Great shaker card. Learning it doing isn't it? Thanks for being a hop stop.
ReplyDeleteI just love all the dots!!!
ReplyDeleteSo sweet! I think I'm going to try one of these too! You shouldn't tell people your mistake unless you tell us how you fixed it!! lol
ReplyDeleteGreat Shaker card! I'd never know there were mistakes made if you hadn't told on yourself. Think about what you learned and make some more while you still remember what you did and what you shouldn't do the next time.
