The first card idea hit my brain while I wasn't able to sleep. I used all Authentique Celebrate collection 6X6 pad. I just love their paper! Now for the card:
A funny thing happened on the way to making this card. My star die is in a bottom drawer, and I can't bend, but discovered my toes can open drawers! TMI! I would be out of luck without the "As Seen On TV" Grab It's that I have in every room of my house, and in my van! Finding the twine I used on the clear button - - not easy!
The second card is also made from the same 6X6 Authentique pad. The 2 hot air balloons are part of the polka dot paper. I do believe I am going through a button phase.
My third card uses an old Whipper Snapper flag stamp that I got at a garage sale. It also has a brand new doily die that I bought.
This is probably one of my favorite sentiments, because it is so meaningful. Especially in the trying political times we are in.

What great cards Ronni.. the first one is my favorite. I love the stars behind the sentiment. Glad that your "toes" and the "Grab it" were able to help you out in getting to them. thanks for sharing ~ Pam

Great cards, Ronni! I love the buttons and thank you for putting thread in them, even if it took using toes - we do what we have to for our art, right? LOL. Really love the way you layered the stars and pennants on that first card! Thanks so much for participating in our skip today, and for all you do for OWH!
ReplyDeleteLove the third card the best, the color draws me in. And I like the sentiment being stamped right onto the background paper. :)
ReplyDeleteOh Ronni, that first card is most certainly a piece of art. It's collage design is so stunning. I have always liked those little people holding hands. I like the other cards too, but the first one really moves me.
ReplyDeleteWow I just love that first card! I haven't ever inked up those people stamps and your design is so full of movement!
ReplyDeleteI love your first card, especially the little twirly things on the bottom. I love the
ReplyDeleteway you brought it all together. Great job Ronni!!!
Beautiful cards! I love the people on this first one, such a fun addition. I love the sentiments you have chosen to use....so perfect!
ReplyDeleteWonderful cards. I like the Authentique paper you used and the buttons. I also like the doily and the flag stamp on the last one.
ReplyDeleteAll three cards are so unique. I like the background papers and stars, the balloons are a great idea and using the rusty orange color on card three gives it a fallish look.Great Job.
ReplyDeleteI love all of your cards. The first one really stands out to me because of all the fun layers. Thanks for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteGreat cards - I love the festive colors on the first one, as well as all the layers.
ReplyDeleteI love the banner layout on your first card. It has so much "action".
ReplyDeleteRonnie, the sentiments on your cards are perfect for our heroes. Authentique paper is one of my favorites too, I like there patriotic themed ones best. I also like your new doily die it adds dimension and pop to your card.
ReplyDeleteVery nice group of cards Ronni! I love all the banners in the first design. It feels like the card is practically bursting Each of these sentiments is so meaningful but I have to agree that the last is one of my all time favorites too.
ReplyDeleteHi Ronni! Your cards are awesome! Love the banners set on an angle and all of the layers. I also like the papers you chose. Great job!
ReplyDeleteNice group of cards...The first is my fave. Love the layered banners. I so want to CASE that one! Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteHooray for toes and a grabber. Look at the great card you have been able to make using all your limbs.
ReplyDeleteLovely cards and lots of love into each. The first card really "grabs" my attention. It is fantastic - all the layers and the layout. Unity has such great sentiments for our heroes.
ReplyDeleteI love the sentiment for the third card.....I love "finding" rubberstamps at a good price too (like at garage sales)...... I think you're in a different part of AZ so we are not in competition with those garage sales!!!lol Radloff jen at cableone dot net
ReplyDeleteYour first card is my favorite! I love the little chains of paper dolls and the sentiment is perfect.
ReplyDeleteI love all the cards; the paper is wonderful and your pairing of the sentiments is perfect! I think my favorite, because it's going to a hero who's probably lonely since he or she doesn't get much mail is the one with the balloons. Hot air balloons always seem to symbolize freedom from the everyday and that sentiment is an encouraging reminder that home's getting closer.
ReplyDeleteI think all of the sentiments used on your cards are perfect. I hope when I get back to Gold Canyon, AZ next month I'll find some of those stamps at garage sales. Of the three cards, I would have to choose the first card as my favorite because I like lots of layers.
ReplyDeleteI love all 3 cards, but the last one means so much! I love simple cards (I make simple cards) - especially the verse on your card!
ReplyDeleteEach one of your cards is fantastic! I really like the sentiment on the third card. Love the layout and colors on your first card.

ReplyDeleteGreat cards--absolutely love the first card--perfectly amazing! Love the garage sale find. Brilliant idea to keep a pen and a card around to write a note at any time!
ReplyDeleteThe first card is especially effective in that it has images that remind our heroes of the boys and girls back home who they're fighting to protect. Love it! I agree with your thoughts about the sentiment on the third card. So very true. Thank you for sharing your creativity with us.
ReplyDeleteAwesome cards-love the pinwheels on the first card. You said you must be in a button phase-for me, I'm in a pinwheels stage. I've been looking for a good pinwheel pattern to use on cards, but that's another story. The sentiments are so touching, my favorite being "every day is one day closer".
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your skills with us today-and for sharing that you also find treasures at garage sales!

ReplyDeleteI love all of your cards especially the first one with all the people! Tfs!
ReplyDeleteI love your cards - the first one with the little people is fantastic! Who can resist pinwheels either?
ReplyDeleteI totally love the starburst on the first card! The flag image on the third card is really sweet. I also like the twine and button embellishments on the first two cards.
ReplyDeleteI really like all 3 of your cards but especially #3. The use of brads and twine really jazz it up. Is that a pumpkin color you used? Looks great with the dark blue. Cute flag, too. Great job!
ReplyDeleteFantastic set of cards Ronni! Love all the sentimenst, especially the 3rd one. It's a tie between 1 and 3 for which I like best. Love all the banners and pinwheels of the first, and that it's good for male and female. Love the simplicity of the third and the medallion with the flag. Of course, that sentiment is my very favorite.

ReplyDeleteI love all three cards that you made and the paper and sentiments. At first glance, I thought the the hot air balloons were paratroopers. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThanks for giving us 3 super cards. The pin wheels are perfect to border the first card. The sentiment is the star of the second. The simple design of the 3rd puts the spotlight on the important sentiment.
