The card challenge for this week is to use 1 embossing folder, 1 border punch, 2 patterned papers, and twine or string. I have begun making masculine/Father's day cards and did the following card for the challenge.

Made some cards this week!
I was cleaning out my scraps - trying to get rid of some - and not send them to a virtual friend! I had a lot of narrow strips. From those came some ideas! Here they are.....

Cards, Cards, and More Cards!
Here are several cards I completed today. The 4 "Thinking of You" cards come from a Stampin Up workshop I went to. They were not the size for OWH so I reconfigured them to be A2 size. I also created 4 from my often under active imagination. I have been cleaning out my scrap box - and I left out all my narrow strips of paper. These either inspired me or got in my way, so I used some!

White on white 3 layers at least
This is for a very special person in my life who lost a loved on. I couldn't be there with her -so I sent her this card. I am also submitting it for an OWH challenge.

So Happy Together!
Triple Dipping for VCMP
By the time I got around to being ready to make a card - I was 3 behind! So I made a card that had all 3 I had missed - - 1) Zig Zag 2) Creature and 3) Partial Embossing.
I colored the monkey with Copics and cut out an extra set of bananas and popped those!

State colors for MidWeek Throwdown
WOOT! WOOT! GO ARIZONA! GO OWH! While researching State colors, I discovered that the State of Arizona has the BEST flag to make a card out of! AND it had a pattern I could use a method on - - - that I had been itching to try! So--- here is my card - and below it I will talk about the method! Also - thanks Jan!
Before I continue - - - I was born in Brooklyn, NY! I moved to Arizona in 1969 and except for 10 months in Richmond, VA - I have been here since. I hope you like this card! I had an absolute blast making it. I used the masking technique to create the rays - Staz-on Sunflower Yellow rays! I used a dauber to apply the ink - but it would have been easier with the distressing tool. The white paper I used is Stampin Up Whisper White - which takes ink beautifully. I embossed stars on only part of the navy paper because I wanted the rays to be the focal point. I think the red star and the brad grabbed that focal point. I enjoyed making this state color card so much! And I am equally honored to make it for OWH MidWeek Throwdown!
Please play along with this weeks MWT so I can go see your state colors in use, and see how you interpret them. I can't wait!
