Online Card Class - Clean & Simple 3 - Days 1/2

I am absolutely loving the online card class Clean & Simple 3.  White space scares me!  The ideas presented in class so far are quite excellent, easy to follow, and exciting to make.  I may have to go back and take Clean & Simple 1! 

Here is a card from day 1/2 - I used the scrappy inlaid die example.  I know I will use the inlaid die method over and over again, and most likely the scrappy example also!

A Few Cards To Share

I have not felt very "motivated"!  I have tried various things to get motivated!  Many have resulted in the trash getting some nice paper!  So I left the craft room and realized I would be better off working on something different.......like English Paper Piecing.  I have a few projects that I have done, framed and hung up (Double Wedding Ring).  I have also made several pillows and wall hangings from Carol Doak patterns for Paper Piecing.  But English is my favorite - so portable!

And.....To End January!

I have recently had a lot of in the house-can't go anywhere times.  Renovations are not my favorite time!  But - it did give me time to color!  Here are a few cards I made to finish off the month!

I have about 20 more images colored - but they are going to magically become cards in February!  Magically!

 

 

A Visit To My Craft Room

I spent some time in my craft room yesterday.  My time in there has been limited by lack of desire, lack of mojo, and lack of motivation.  I would get all ready for a creative session, sit down at my desk ready to create, and nothing.  This would last for about 5 minutes, after which I would get frustrated and put everything I took out away!  I was inspired to try a group of rectangle dies I bought in November, and use paper I have had for 3 years and loved too much to cut!  Here is where my adventure led:

I was really surprised that the background color, which was 8.5" X 11" made 2 cards, and I only used 4.5 X 12 of the beautiful paper!  The cards are not done yet, they need a sentiment on an elegant die cut.

Hoping the mojo stays alive, and my fingers hold up!

My Craft Room

Here are a few pictures of my craft room.  My favorite crafting is with paper - lots and lots of paper!  I also quilt a bit - paper piecing and English Paper Piecing. 

I love my craft space!  I am even clean about it!   Everything has it's place.  My brain is cluttered enough that a messy craft space would sent me into a frenzy!  Only a little!
