Operation Write Home Memorial Day Blog Hop

Hi and welcome to my blog.  For this wonderful blog hop, I am using sketch 122 and sketch 92.

Add caption

I really like this sketch because it has so many areas that can showcase a paper's design and texture.  I made two cards from this sketch.

I really loved the star paper so I made another card using sketch 92 - I was not able to get a very clear picture of this one.

I hope you have enjoyed looking at my cards today.

Love theme for Midweek Throwdown

Sometimes words aren't necessary!  At least for fish!  Love is the theme for the OWH midweek throwdown.  AND since my darling hubby is done working (tomorrow) until mid-August - I am going to remind myself everyday that I love him - even when he is driving my batty!  It just means I will spend more time in my craft room!  Now for the fish..........
I used SU Delightful Decorations stamp set and ornament punch for the fish - and the build a blossom punch for the fins.  I used colored lid googlie eyes and a little glossy accent on their tails.

Operation Write Home sketch 121 goes tropical!

Today I am using a card for two challenges - Operation Write Home sketch 121 and also the mid week throwdown.  I realized this morning - I have numerous projects to work on - complete - start!  So doubling up works really well for me!

This is a close up of the sentiment - it is the same color green as the rectangle that surrounds it.

There is no remedy for love but to love more - how true!

OWH Chllenge

Hi - This is an alligator from Doodle Pantry - I dressed him up a little - with some googlie eye (gotta love those!), a few border punches for depth, a ribbon for his scarf, a few stars with Candy, and some rocks!  Hope you enjoy this card - I had a blast making it!  He was colored with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol.

Fold it, Pop it, Flip it, Zip it Lesson 4

I fell slightly behind - lesson 4 is from Thursday!  This is the front of the 3 x 6 card
Having watched the video two times - I knew this 1st try was strictly a process card.....
This is the inside - the honeycomb flowers were a bit of a problem for me - I am not convinced scalloped circles work too well - I can't wait to see other people's cards.

Online Class - Lesson 3

Lesson 3 is to create a buckle card.  Overall this was not a difficult task - I am not very handy with xacto blades - even the finger one - plus my logic skills - have moments of oh look there's a chicken!  But on my 3rd attempt I had a product I liked and would be proud to send.

On line class I am taking......

Here are pictures of the lesson 1 and 2 cards for the class I am taking - I think it is Fold it - Flip it - - etc.....  Anyway - the card for lesson 1 - I have changed 3 times - I didn't do the 1st base correctly - so re-did that - then I couldn't find the stamp I had used - impatient as I was I found another one - that I didn't like - changed it again - and left it at what it is now - figuring - I will make another someday! HEHE  Card #2 is a pocket card so I have included both pictures.  I changed LLesson 2 card - I couldn't help myself - I had to make it prettier!  I will get a picture later.

Doodle Pantry Challenge DPDC23

Here is a card I made for the Doodle Pantry Challenge DPDC23.  I colored the image with Prismacolor pencils, and used Gamsol for blending.  I used textured Sizzix paper for mountains.  And popped the alligator and some rocks.  I really enjoyed this process :>)

OWH Mid-Week Throwdown

This Wednesday's subject was flowers - and I have so many subjects to choose from - stamps - embellishments - paper!  Hard choice - until I found a piece of beautiful BoBunny paper - with matching paper!  I was a goner!  I started out with a OWH sketch - but a 2.25X2.75" piece was going to cover my pretty paper - so I winged it!  I love how this card turned out - but I don't really like the red checked ribbon on the flower - that may have to go!  What do you think?  I went back and changed to the button ribbon to the striped ribbon behind the flower.... I really like matchy matchy!
